ATEN would like to welcome...
  • all people native to this land and people from other countries,
  • all women, men, trans, and other identified individuals,
  • everyone who is a mother, father, sister, brother, auntie, uncle, cousin, son, daughter, grandmother, grandfather,
  • people of all races, tribes and descents,
  • your bodies, your minds, and your energy,
  • Survivors and those who support them,
  • those in their teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, 100s,
  • all people single, married, partnered, dating, celibate or involved in whatever sort of relationship is right for you,
  • working class, middle class and owning class people, and others for whom those labels feel awkward or not quite for you,
  • gay, lesbian, bisexual, heterosexual, queer, asexual, two-spirited and others for whom none of the current labels fit,
  • your emotions: joy, bliss, grief, rage, hope, frustration, sadness, contentment, disappointment,
  • people who live in the country, small villages and towns and the city,
  • everyone's special way of understanding and knowing the world, everyone's wisdom whether it's education that has been learned in schools, colleges, universities and/or the deep and profound school of life,
  • those living with chronic medical conditions and disabilities, visible or invisible
  • your families genetic and otherwise, our networks of family and friends who make our lives easier, happier and gentler,
  • mystics, seekers, believers of all kinds,
  • our elders who guide us and give us wisdom, here in this group, or elsewhere, living and those who have passed away,
  • people who identify as activists, community leaders, musicians, group members, and those who don't,
  • Finally we would like to welcome the ancestors who lived in this land where we are now. Welcome the Spirits of Mi’kmaq and Wabanaki Confederacy, the natives who lived in this area before the Europeans came. We'd like to acknowledge them and invite their spirits to this place. Welcome.
